atNorth confirms the appointment of Anna Kristn Pálsdóttir to the role of Chief Development Officer. A seasoned engineer known for leading innovation and operations at major companies, Plsdttir will steer the future expansion of atNorth's data centre portfolio.

This Icelandic company's significant growth plans include extending its current sites and constructing new data centre campuses across the Nordic region. Pálsdóttir's vast experience in innovational leadership and her focus on efficient service delivery prove advantageous to this end. She brings expertise in portfolio strategy and business engagement, aligning with atNorth's approach of investing in the right personnel to guarantee speedy responses and stellar customer service.

Sustainably-focused infrastructure continues to be in high demand, a reality that shapes atNorth's commitment to its vision. This vision involves not only delivering within the sphere of environmental, technological, and financial advantages, but also raising awareness about the merits of the company's sustainable data centres.

Eyjolfur Magns Kristinsson, CEO at atNorth, expresses his confidence in Pálsdóttir's skill set and leadership style. He says: "Anna Kristn Pálsdóttir has an established history of achievement in dynamic innovation and cross-organisational operations. Her collaborative leadership style and strategic vision make her ideally suited to help us grow our data centre portfolio. We are delighted to welcome her to our unified and dedicated team."

Prior to her new role at atNorth, Pálsdóttir held key positions at Marel, a leading global provider of high-tech food processing solutions. She served as President North America (NAM) and Executive Vice President, Innovation at Marel and also sat on various boards of directors. Pálsdóttir, a Masters degree holder in engineering from the Technical University of Berlin, will leverage her considerable experience and understandings of global business transformation at atNorth.

Acknowledging her appointment, Pálsdóttir says: "atNorth's expansion strategy has been hugely successful and illustrates the quality of the solutions they offer. As the demand for their sustainable infrastructure continues to increase, I am excited to join this cohesive team to lead the development of atNorth's new data centre sites."

The success of atNorth's strategic growth plans is evident in the steady industry recognition it has amassed, and the escalating demand for its sustainable, high-performance infrastructure. To meet this rising demand, the company is currently constructing three new sites: a 15MW site near Helsinki, Finland, a 60MW mega site in Kouvola, Finland, and a 30MW data centre in Copenhagen, Denmark.

In line with its commitment to sustainability, atNorth powers its data centres with renewable energy resources and operates in accordance with circular economy principles. The company is headquartered in Reykjavik, Iceland and runs seven data centres across the Nordics. It looks forward to the inauguration of additional sites in Helsinki, Finland and Denmark in Q4 2024, and its tenth site in Kouvola, Finland in 2025.
