Apple headhunts Microsoft cloud expert

According to reports over the weekend, Apple has lured Microsoft’s data centre services group chief, Kevin Timmons. 

Timmons previously headed up Microsoft’s data centre services group in the US. 

Before that he spent ten years at web portal Yahoo.

Apple recently posted a job listing for an "extremely capable engineer who has a strong background in web services development”. 

The job description reads, "In this highly visible position, the successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define and implement some of the company's core backend platform frameworks and systems.”
