Europe- and UK-based construction firm has onboarded a new deputy managing director for its data center division, where he will become a key leader responsible for delivering targets related to customers, quality, revenue, and safety.

Jason Casey, who is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building, previously worked as associate director within Ardmac's cleanroom business unit.

“We see significant growth in our data center business in the years ahead and I am excited to play my part in expanding our team and learning culture to deliver more successful projects for our clients. We will achieve this through the continued rollout of our digital, innovation and operational excellence strategies, placing our clients at the centre of everything we do,” says Casey.

Casey joined Ardmac in 2006 and has worked across site, contracts, project, and operations management.

In particular, his passion and leadership and coaching abilities will be instrumental in further developing our high performing teams to deliver for our clients,” says Ardmac CEO Ronan Quinn.

In July 2020 Ardmac announced a ‘significant equity investment' in a company called Cental, which specialised in modular infrastructure for data center, telecommunications, and the utilities sectors.

Ronan Quinn said at the time that the investment brings together specialists partners, and also boosts manufacturing capacity.

“In Cental, we now have that crucial manufacturing fabrication infrastructure that provides the expertise and capacity required to deliver complex high value projects offsite and then deliver them to our customer locations.  We are very excited to leverage the synergies in place between our two companies.

Ardmac also enhanced its capabilities as a provider of offsite modular solutions to its clients in the data center, pharmaceutical, healthcare and advanced manufacturing sectors, whilst opening up new solutions for commercial fit-out clients.

A statement from Cental CEO Brian McGuire noted that the investment would double the size of its engineering team from 70 to 140 people over the next two years.

Quinn concludes, “The construction ecosystem of the future will be a more standardised, consolidated and integrated construction process where modular assemblies and entire modular buildings will be much more common.

Cental's annualised revenues were reported to be approximately €20 million.
