Commvault has announced the appointment of industry veteran Ashley Baird as the new Vice President & Managing Director of Market Expansion. Baird, who boasts over 15 years in the cloud industry, takes on the role at Commvault with a mandate to extend the company's leadership and accelerate its growth into new markets with leading cloud providers. She will also serve as Chief of Staff to Commvault’s President and CEO, Sanjay Mirchandani.

Baird brings an extensive cloud and go-to-market experience to her new position. She spent 16 consecutive years at SoftwareOne, culminating her journey there as the President of its North America business. As a recognised and award-winning executive, Baird has continually championed women's involvement in technology and is expected to apply her exceptional leadership skills and innovative approach to enhance Commvault's dominance in the cyber-resilience industry.

Upon her appointment, Baird expressed her enthusiasm stating, "I wouldn't miss this opportunity. Baird will be instrumental in pushing forward with Commvault's key platform, the Commvault Cloud. This system is powered by Metallic AI and is designed to supply true cloud cyber resilience while ensuring rapid recovery at the fastest rate. Significantly, Commvault has already transitioned over four exabytes of data into the cloud. Gartner, a reputable advisory firm, rated Commvault highly, scoring their capabilities highest in six out of seven use cases in its analysis of Enterprise Backup and Recovery software solutions. These categories include Hybrid/Multicloud and SaaS, plus Ransomware Recovery.
