Dell partners for - one-stop shop

04 Sep 09

The company today announced its extended partnership with Brocade and an expansion of its partnership with VMware.

Dell will bundle VMware View as an option for the company’s Flexible Computing solutions offered on select server and client platforms. The expanded partnership will help Dell present end-to-end solutions for companies focusing on virtualisation. Companies can choose to include implementation and ongoing support as well as other services that are designed to drive down costs and data security risks.

The company’s partnership with Brocade will expand to include new Brocade products and technologies into the Dell storage and data centre networking portfolio. The companies also plan to work together to develop infrastructure and optimisation solutions enabled by virtualisation and integrated toolsets to manage application delivery and deployment as business services.

The partnership also extends Dell’s existing Brocade storage networking solutions to provide a portfolio of Dell-branded network and fibre adapters and switching products. Dell expects to make the new products available to customers later this year.
