EMC plans to break records

11 Jan 11

EMC is inviting both corporate IT end users and channel partners to what they claim is a 'very special' event on 18th January.

The invites alludes to record breaking with the title "Don't miss out on the record breaking". The landing page also has a countdown and two mildly humorous videos about excessive speed.

You can register you interest here, like we have. What the event is, we don't quite know, but the Intel logo features heavily.

Our completely uninformed guess is that EMC is getting into the server business like Cisco recently has. If this unlikely event transpires, the folks at HP will not be happy again.
