Emerson’s IT Power

01 Jun 2011

IT Power has been appointed an official Emerson Network Power solution partner, enabling the company to offer advanced power protection solutions in partnership with other specialist resellers. The appointment is part of Emerson’s overhaul of its channel programmes. The solution partner rank is the highest level of accreditation available and provides IT Power with access to Emerson’s in-country and regional sales, support, training, installation, auditing and consulting services ‘essentially becoming an extension of Emerson’s business’. Jason Lewis, IT Power managing director, says the deal gives IT Power the opportunity to partner with other resellers ‘to bring a holistic data centre infrastructure solution to market [that] they would otherwise struggle to provide’. "In many cases tenders call for comprehensive infrastructure solutions, from power management and protection to cooling, switching, racks and other essential components. Since many resellers and system integrators specialise in only some of these components, we would be able to partner with them – in conjunction with Emerson – and together tender for the complete solution. It’s a way for us to work together with our fellow resellers to help them expand their business opportunities, while continuing to offer our specialist power protection solutions to our customers.”Emerson Network Power New Zealand country manager Nick Van Der Plas says the expertise of partners like IT Power is ‘a timely and important step to expanding our business in New Zealand and offering ever higher levels of service to New Zealand resellers and their customers’
