Ingram Micro FlexCloud events this week

11 Jul 2012

Cloud computing is broadly considered the way of the future, but it isn’t exactly fait accompli for every business. Ingram Micro is making it easier for resellers to deliver a proven path to the benefits of cloud with its FlexCloud offering; incorporating technologies and products from Cisco, NetApp, VMware and Red Hat.

Resellers have the opportunity to learn about the pre-packaged architecture designed to allow customisation of value-added services – the point at which the reseller differentiates their offering.

The nationwide FlexCloud Roadshow takes place this July and by attending the roadshow, Ingram Micro resellers can:

• Shorten the sales cycle through simplified SKUs and integrated purchasing of all necessary components•Learn how to take full advantage of the various solution resources available as an Ingram Micro reseller•Equip themselves to present a complete infrastructure solution in a single rack•Discover how to simplify server solution offerings while maximising margins

FlexCloud: A winning combination

FlexCloud starts with the FlexPod infrastructure solution from NetApp and Cisco technologies. This is designed to support virtualised, nonvirtualised, and hybrid infrastructure solutions for a variety of enterprise applications.

FlexCloud then integrates VMware vSphere as the foundation for various virtualised application workloads, including secure multi-tenancy and disaster recovery configurations. This addresses industry virtualisation needs and simplifies the evolution to shared infrastructure and cloud architectures.

Finally, FlexCloud also includes Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Red Hat’s alliance with NetApp and Cisco extends the capabilities of FlexPod to support hybrid physical and virtual workloads to meet the demands of the modern data-centre.

The combined power of Cisco, NetApp, VMware and Red Hat gives resellers a prevalidated data centre platform with components integrated into a single, flexible architecture.
