FYI, this story is more than a year old

The European CEO Awards took place this week to celebrate the key figures at the helm of corporations that are driving innovation, encouraging positive growth, and exemplifying strong strategy and commitment.

In the ‘Data Center and Cloud Industry' sector, data center colocation provider Interxion came up trumps with its CEO David Ruberg taking home the award from European CEO.

Ruberg has been working with Interxion for more than 15 years and has held the CEO role for the last 10. The company has maintained steady growth in revenue, profit, customer base, and employee development throughout his tenure.

Ruberg says at the centre of Interxion's success is its focus on the customer to prioritise the delivery of services and offer the best possible value.

“I am incredibly honoured to be named as European CEO's Best CEO in the Data Center and Cloud Industry,” Ruberg says.

“With the increased pace of cloud adoption, carrier and cloud-neutral co-location data centers will increasingly become the primary hubs where businesses will connect and grow their mission-critical activities. It is our vision at Interxion to be at the heart of this global economy, enabling customers to enhance their value proposition by effectively interconnecting their businesses within their communities of interest.

Since carrier and cloud-neutral data centers first came into existence around 20 years ago following the advent of the internet, they have become a central cog to today's digital economy in providing organisations access to the cloud and connectivity providers their businesses need to succeed. In light of this, Ruberg says Interxion is ultimately anchored by its people.

“Everything we accomplish at Interxion is because of our employees,” Ruberg says.

“They are the reason why our customers continue to put their trust in our ability to deliver what they need and why we are in such a good position to take advantage of the outstanding opportunities that lie ahead.

Interxion provides its data center services to more than 2,000 customers in 11 countries across Europe.
