18 Jun 14

CommVault has won the 2014 Microsoft Server Platform Partner of the Year Award.

The company was honoured among a global field of top Microsoft partners for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.

The Server Platform Partner of the Year Award honours a partner who has delivered solutions that enable customers to increase the reliability and flexibility of server infrastructures, save time and reduce costs, and provide a server platform for a dynamic and efficiently managed datacenter.

This award recognises CommVault and its Simpana software platform for transforming customers' server infrastructures resulting in higher levels of scalability, availability and reliability, reduced IT labour or hardware costs, and streamlined overall operational efficiency.

“Microsoft’s success as a company depends on great partners, and CommVault is a shining example of the kind of innovation our partner ecosystem drives year after year,” says Phil Sorgen, corporate vice president, Worldwide Partner Group, Microsoft.

“We are honored to recognise CommVault as this year’s winner of the 2014 Microsoft Server Platform Partner of the Year award, and we applaud CommVault’s dedication to providing innovative solutions that drive results for our mutual customers.”

Awards were presented in multiple categories, with winners chosen from a set of more than 2,800 entrants from 117 different countries worldwide.

CommVault was recognised for providing outstanding solutions and services in data and information protection and management.

“CommVault is honored to be recognised as the Microsoft Server Platform Partner of the Year for the second time," adds Randy De Meno, chief technologist, Windows Products & Microsoft Partnerships, CommVault.

"The recognition continues the tradition of strong collaboration between CommVault and Microsoft which started fifteen years ago and is the foundation of our Simpana platform today.

"That investment has enabled us to quickly integrate Microsoft Azure compute and storage along with Windows server and mobile environments, which is extremely beneficial for our customers as the Simpana platform now provides a unified and simplified way to manage on-premises, hybrid and cloud data.”

The Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards recognise partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions during the past year and celebrate top Microsoft partners that are solving customer challenges with creative technology solutions.

Award winners and finalists, chosen from nominations from around the world, will be recognised at the 2014 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference, taking place July 13–17, 2014, in Washington, D.C.
