02 Sep 16

HCL and Mesosphere have entered into a partnership agreement for cloud and container infrastructure.

The partnership combines Mesosphere’s data center operating system with HCL’s unique next-gen IT and operations capabilities.

Kalyan Kumar, chief technology officer of HCL, believes that with the rising wave of digitalization, cloud and automation, the role of IT has changed quite a lot.

“21st Century Enterprise Infrastructure must be prepared for this change to meet the ever evolving business and user expectations," he says.

"Through this partnership, HCL and Mesosphere are uniquely positioned to play a leadership role in the global cloud infrastructure management market. While Mesosphere will be providing best–in–class Enterprise DC/OS technology, HCL will be the global systems integrator for consulting, designing, integrating, building and running solutions for large enterprises,” explains Kumar.

Mesosphere is the creator of DC/OS (Data center Operating System), it offers a reliable, scalable and easy platform for running containers, data systems and everything else required for a modern application.

William Freiberg, chief operating officer, says forces such as cloud computing and containers are driving major changes in IT infrastructure.

"DC/OS helps users take advantage of these trends, and is already revolutionizing operations and application development inside customers' data centers and cloud environments,” he says.

“Our partnership with HCL will help us bring these results to a much larger range of companies across the globe."

HCL is on track to deliver its vision for the 21st century enterprise - to encompass a modern infrastructure which includes data center infrastructure services that are service-oriented.

The company hopes to enable enterprises to be lean and agile, creating united experiences for the end users.
