Renaissance picks up MSI

As well as distributing a range of desktops, notebooks and netbooks, Renaissance will also offer MSI motherboards and graphics cards to local assemblers.

"We are excited about distributing the MSI range of desktops, notebooks, netbooks, all in one computers and servers to our local channels,” said Renaissance General Manager of Branded Product Chris Knox.

"Our New Zealand channels enjoy a competitive environment and with the addition of MSI to the Renaissance range we look forward to increasing the options available to our sales channels.”

MSI currently sells into more than 120 countries, with 150 million mainboard users and 100 million graphics card users worldwide.

Jerry Hsu, Managing Director of MSI Australia and New Zealand added, "With the new MSI ultra gaming range, PCs, servers, mainboards and graphics cards, we can offer our customers a great local service experience through Renaissance, and can now will offer a full range of options to its distribution channels.

"We expect to see good sales growth in New Zealand as a result of this appointment and MSI looks forward to a long-term and profitable relationship with Renaissance.”

In an Annual Meeting Chairman's Report last week, Renaissance Chairman, Colin Giffney has said that the first four months have produced a mixed trading result and that distribution continues to shrink.
