Telecom completes Business Cloud specialist acquisition

03 Jul 2014

Telecom has completed the purchase of all the shares in business Cloud services specialist Appserv Limited, following a conditional agreement to purchase the company on June 18.

Finalising the deal according to schedule, the telco giant views the acquisition as a "strategic business move" giving the Telecom group a very strong New Zealand Cloud services portfolio.

As reported by Telco Review at the time, Telecom New Zealand CEO Simon Moutter said the acquisition of Appserv adds to the significant investment across Telecom and Gen-i in Cloud services and provides a major new piece in the Cloud jigsaw.

“The acquisition of Appserve is an excellent complement to the purchase in 2013 of Revera and the ongoing investment we are making in data centres," he said at the time.
