ViFX claims top Nutanix award

02 Jun 2015

ViFX has taken top Kiwi honours at Nutanix’s Australia and New Zealand Partner Awards, scooping up the New Zealand Partner of the Year award.

ViFX was the only New Zealand winner at the awards, held at the web-scale converged infrastructure vendor’s inaugural Partner Now Conference in Sydney.

James Knapp, ViFX CTO says Nutanix has ‘an excellent technical value proposition and, more importantly, has been willing to invest in our markets and our customers’.

“As a technology partner, Nutanix provides a perfect validation of how ViFX approaches innovation in the marketplace and we’re pleased to provide our customers with solutions that enable a competitive edge,” Knapp says, adding that the company was ‘really happy’ to have won the partner award.

The awards saw Advantage Technology Solutions named Most Valuable Player for ANZ, while Qirx took out Highest Growth Partner for the region.

BEarena was named Australian Partner of the Year.

Meanwhile, the Partner Now Conference provided partners with an overview of the vendor’s vision.

Nutanix also detailed the state of the industry, which it says is seeing a ‘significant’ shift away from traditional SAN and blade server hardware to hyper-converged technology.

Nutanix surpassed US$300 million bookings run rate in its second quarter of 2015, which ended January 31, and now has more than 100 customers across Australia and New Zealand, less than two years after launching in the region.
